Umbrella wins private rented sector Award

Recent report expects 1 in 5 households to be rental

The latest report, September 2011 by Savills, has indicated that 1 in 5 households may be a rental property. Indications on financial markets along with current deposit situations has led to an average age increasing for owner occupier. This has led to the traditional "renter" of student/singleton and the fact that 1st time unassisted buyer is around 37, renting is here to stay.. Demand for rental property is on the increase for these factors and others. Wigan and surrounding areas provide landlords with a great opportunity to purchase decent yielding property.

Umbrella attend Wigan Landlord Forum

On the 13th September, Umbrella attended the Wigan landlord forum as the main letting agent offering advice to current and would be landlords. The evening was a success with talks from CMA accountants on tax incentives and implications for landlords with information on HMO's from Wigan council also. Overall a successful evening hosted by Wigan Council.
